The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 193 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most current seven-day period (Sept. 3-9).

During that same span, 1,091 tests were conducted on students, faculty and staff. Tests are conducted (by appointment only) on campus at the TestNebraska facility in the 17th and R Streets parking garage and the University Health Center, as well as at off-campus medical facilities. The positivity rate during the week was 18 percent.

Since university-specific testing began on Aug. 12, 519 total cases have been recorded out of 3,047 tests, for a positivity rate of 17 percent.

This report is generated weekly and presented in Nebraska Today on Fridays. It was delayed from the Sept. 11 newsletter due to a technical error.

Data is gathered from the university’s COVID-19 dashboard, which is tracking case and test totals daily. All COVID-19 testing information is provided to the university from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
