Doctoral student Molly Franz (left), pictured here with adviser psychology professor David DiLillo and senior research associate Jessica Calvi, has been awarded an National Institutes of Health grant that allows her to use saliva samples to measure how stress affects some mothers’ interactions with their children. Jessica Calvi, a senior research associate with Nebraska’s Salivary Bioscience Lab, will test the samples for the presence of the stress hormone cortisol.
