Supervisors and aspiring leaders across campus are invited to strengthen their people‑management skills through a lineup of professional development sessions designed to support effective performance, clear expectations and confident communication.
The NSPIRE professional development series this spring offers a practical, skill‑building approach to one of the most challenging parts of supervision: supporting employee performance while maintaining trust, clarity and accountability. While the series is tailored with supervisors in mind, all employees interested in strengthening coaching, feedback and communication skills are encouraged to attend.
This semester’s sessions center on three core themes critical to effective supervision:
- Performance with Purpose — Moving beyond annual reviews to ongoing, meaningful performance conversations that drive results and growth.
- Clear Expectations and Feedback — Establishing goals, roles, and standards while providing feedback that is timely, constructive and actionable.
- Confidence in Conversations — Building the skills to navigate difficult discussions with empathy, professionalism and clarity.
