SJ Sindu, who holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, will talk about the new book “The Goth House Experiment” at 5 p.m. Nov. 3 in the University Bookstore, lower level of the Nebraska Union.
“The Goth House” is an uncanny and electric story collection from the Lambda Literary Finalist and Publishing Triangle Edmund White Debut Fiction Award-winning author of “Blue-Skinned Gods” and “Marriage of a Thousand Lies.” Called a daring writer with limitless range, Sindu can depict shocking cruelty as readily as small moments of queer joy.
Sindu is an assistant professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University and, with Timothy Schaffert, a co-editor of Zero Street, the LGBTQ+ fiction series at University of Nebraska Press.
