Neale to discuss geospatial technologies

Christopher Neale

Christopher Neale

Christopher Neale, director of research at the Water for Food Global Institute, and a professor of biological systems engineering, will discuss “Geospatial Technologies for the Management of Water, Food Production and Energy” in a 3:30 p.m. Nov. 18 seminar in Keim Hall, Room 150. The talk, part of series organized by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, is free and open to the public.

Geospatial technologies are becoming mainstream and being used operationally for precision agricultural practices. Remote sensing of crop evapotranspiration has matured over the last 15 years with multiple models and approaches. This presentation will discuss ongoing research on the use of these technologies.

Refreshments will be served at 3 p.m. This lecture is also available online.
