Faculty, staff can assist recruitment by referring future Huskers

The commission’s first event is a “This is Husker Pride” mixer, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at The Mill on Nebraska Innovation Campus. The meet and greet is open to graduate students, faculty and staff.

The Office of Admissions continues to seek faculty and staff assistance in connecting with future Huskers.

To help with University of Nebraska–Lincoln student recruitment efforts, faculty and staff can refer a future husker online to the admissions recruitment team

“One of the most important ways the Office of Admissions connects with prospective students is through referrals from faculty and staff,” said Abby Freeman, director of admissions. “Nebraska faculty and staff are an integral component to recruitment because they can relate their own positive experiences to prospective students.”

All referred students will receive special campus communications that feature information about academic programs, scholarship opportunities, VIP event invitations and more.

Faculty and staff referrals helped the admissions team recruit this year’s class, which boasts one of the most academically talented profiles and most diverse undergraduate student body in the history of the university.

“Our faculty and staff believe in the power of every student and understand instinctively who will thrive at Nebraska,” Amber Williams, assistant vice chancellor for enrollment management, said. “We thank you for your continued partnership with recruiting the next generation of Huskers.”
