Attend technical writing workshop on Nov. 6.

The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and the Center for Transformative Teaching are searching for instructors of 100 and 200-level courses interested in applying for a course redesign cohort.

Beginning in the fall semester, instructors will participate in a learning community with faculty and staff from Instructional Design, University Libraries and Academic Learning Technologies to develop student-centered assignments and activities in order to optimize learning opportunities. Participating faculty will receieve a $2,000 stipend.

To receive funding, participants must:

  • Participate in bi-weekly learning community meetings
  • Complete reading and assignments prior to each meeting
  • Develop a course redesign plan, comprised of learning outcomes, an assessment map and teaching strategies
  • Pilot the course redesign within an academic year, conducting evaluations on how the redesign has impacted student learning
  • Commit to teaching the course in its redesigned form for three terms
  • Participate in program assessment activities

Instructors interested in participating can apply by April 22.
