A public panel discussion about dual-language programs in public schools will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in Henzlik Hall Room 45.
The panel features school administrators, coordinators, teachers, parents and students who will share their experiences with dual-language programs, or academic programs taught in two languages, in Nebraska.
Panelists will answer questions from students and others wanting to know more about dual-language programs. The panel is part of the graduate course Foundations of Dual Language taught by Theresa Catalano, associate professor of teaching, learning and teacher education in the College of Education and Human Sciences.
The Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education launched a dual-language endorsement program last summer to provide a space where teachers in, or desiring to work in, programs across the state could receive preparation.
