UNL will join Lincoln/Lancaster County Emergency Management in testing the amplified voice tornado-warning systems at about 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 6.
UNL’s tornado warning system is generally tested the first Wednesday of every month.
Drills may cause disruption to classes and work. It is important, however, to test the systems, which support a safe environment for our campus. Everyone is encouraged to participate so that they know the proper shelters for their location.
The test will not be conducted if skies are cloudy.
