Budget redesign forums open to campus community

.

Two forums will be held this summer to give Nebraska students, faculty and staff the opportunity to learn more about the ongoing budget redesign process.

The first forum will be led by Kathy Farrell, dean of business, and Bill Nunez, vice chancellor for business and finance, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 25 in Howard L. Hawks Hall, Room 002.

During the first forum, Nunez and Farrell will review the project and progress made to date, explain the various components of the model, review the timeline and end with a question and answer session. Campus community members can also join through Zoom at this link.

The second budget forum will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 22 in Howard L. Hawks Hall, Room 002. It will include an overview of the project and the progress made to date, but will also feature a panel of peers from select research universities who have experience and insights regarding incentive-based budget model. The forum’s Zoom link is available here.

The sessions will also be recorded and posted to the Nebraska budget website for viewing at a later date. To stay engaged in the process and learn more about the redesign, visit the business and finance website.
