The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum will hold its annual Plants and Pints fundraiser, an evening of conversation and connection, 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 22 at Glacial Till Cider House and Tasting Room, 1419 Silver St., Ashland, Nebraska. Tickets for this 21 and older event are $25 for NSA members and $30 for non-members.
The event will feature Jim Locklear, director of conservation at Lauritzen Gardens and former NSA executive director. He will speak about his new book, “In the Country of the Kaw: A Personal Natural History of the Great Plains.” He will also be available to sign copies of his book.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be open.
Proceeds from ticket purchases support NSA’s tree planting, garden making and environmental education throughout Nebraska.
