A new UNL series is being launched to provide faculty, staff and students of color with opportunities for shared discussions on campus experiences.

Organized by the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of People of Color, “Conversations with a Purpose” forums open March 30. The series will be divided into three categories — students, staff and faculty of color. Members of the chancellor’s commission will lead each session.

The ultimate goal of the discussions is for the commission to increase its knowledge and understanding so that it can better work to enhance an inclusive campus climate.

The commission is tasked with enhancing the status of people of color at UNL by advising the chancellor on issues pertaining to specific concerns of faculty, staff and students of color. For more information on the commission, click here.
