‘Things Speak’ Bike Tour visits Lincoln collections

Starting at the Sheldon Museum of Art, three bike tours will travel to several Lincoln collections from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 21, 28 and Oct. 5. The bike tours are part of the “Things Speak: Storied Objects from Lincoln Collections” exhibition events.

Pepe’s Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant will have a food truck in the Sheldon parking lot from 4 to 6 p.m., and the museum will remain open to the public until 6 p.m.

  • The Sept. 21 biking time is approximately one hour, and the bike tour will feature the Sheldon, the Great Plains Art Museum, the Nebraska State Capitol and the Frank H. Woods Telephone Museum.

  • The Sept 28 biking time is approximately 1.5 hours, and the bike tour will feature the Sheldon, Pioneers Park Nature Center and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.

  • The Oct. 5 biking time is approximately one hour, and the bike tour include the Sheldon, the Kruger Collection, the LUX Center for the Arts, the International Quilt Study Center and the University of Nebraska State Museum.

Reservations for the free bike tours may be made online.

No bike cleats or metal clamps allowed in the museums.
