An online survey is giving faculty the opportunity to give feedback on information technology support on campus. The survey, open through 5 p.m. Nov. 22, is organized by Information Technology Services and Academic Affairs.

“It’s important to gauge the experience of faculty because of the varying levels of IT support they receive,” said Mark Askren, chief information officer. “Some faculty, depending on their college, are served by our enterprise desktop service, others are served by IT staff within the college, and some try to manage on their own. So the experience of individual faculty members will be different. This is an opportunity to gauge what works well and what can be improved.”

The survey questions cover all levels of IT support, from desktop to the classroom.

“Technology is increasingly important to teaching and learning,” said Lance Pérez, associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs. “This survey gives faculty an opportunity to provide input on the tools and support they need to be successful.”

The survey is available at http://go.unl.edu/facultyitsurvey.
