The Center for Transformative Teaching will offer a one-week course during spring break to help instructors through some of the more common issues of remote teaching and address the more unique challenges.

The course is March 23-27. Each day of this course will focus on a key principle, help instructors prepare plans to facilitate a smooth transition, and encourage empathetic teaching practices. All assignments are directly applicable to course(s), meaning everything participants do can (and should) become a component of remote teaching. Presentations are also constructed as discussion boards. Participants are encouraged to share work, explore how others are approaching the transition, and look to other members of the campus instructional community for feedback and assistance.

Topics of focus include: communication; organization, delivering content; fostering engagement; and assessing learning. In all course materials, simple but effective practices will be modeled.
