Faculty sought for Writing Fellows Program

3 undergraduate Writing Fellows in conversation with their faculty partner

Faculty applications for the 2019-2020 Writing Fellows Program are now being accepted.

The program, a collaboration between the Center for Transformative Teaching and the Writing Center, will allow faculty to incorporate undergraduate writing fellows into their courses during the fall and spring semesters.

Fellows will work one-on-one with 10 to 15 students to help them improve their writing assignments and become stronger, more confident writers and thinkers.

Faculty members will receive a $250 stipend for their participation. To be eligible for the program, those interested must be scheduled to teach a course in fall 2019 or spring 2020 with an enrollment between eight and 32 students.

The course should include at least two significant writing assignments with a schedule that allows for students to revise drafts of these assignments.

To apply, email Rachel Azima, Writing Center Director and Director of the Writing Fellows Program, at razima2@unl.edu.
