Zeleny to discuss role of staff in helping reach university goals

The University Association for Administrative Development will begin its 57th year with a meeting hosted by Mike Zeleny, associate to the chancellor, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Nebraska Union, Colonial A. The event is open to all members.

Zeleny will discuss updates about the direction of the university, current events on campus, and the staff role in helping the university reach its goals.

The University Association for Administrative Development is a staff organization dedicated to leadership, networking and professional development. Membership in the organization is open to all staff members, with meetings occurring monthly.

“We want to make sure that all staff know we are here to support them. We are committed to providing a place for staff to grow and share their expertise while building a thriving network of staff committed to this great institution,” said Tony Lazarowicz, president of the association.

This year’s general meetings will feature guest speakers Shelley Zaborowski, executive director of the Nebraska Alumni Association; Bill Moos, athletic director; and Stacie Ray, associate professor of practice in special education and communication disorders and founder of HearU Nebraska.
