The Lincoln Calling Music Festival is coming to UNL.

The University Program Council is hosting two shows during the five-day music festival. This is the first time UNL has hosted a concert in the 10-year history of Lincoln Calling.

The UNL concerts are 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 and 18 on the greenspace north of the Nebraska Union. The Oct. 17 performance will include indie rock bands The Kickback and Desert Noises; and local favorites Freakabout! and Orion Walsh and the Rambling Hearts. The Oct. 18 event includes the psychedelic folk band Deer People; alternative band Cowboy Indian Bear; and local artists Twinsmith and A Ferocious Jungle Cat.

Admission to both concerts is free.

Lincoln Calling features more than 100 bands and DJs performing Oct. 15-19 at 10 venues.
