UNL Symphonic Band opens season

 Join the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Symphonic Band, conducted by Tony Falcone with Graduate Teaching Assistant Conductor Chris Barnes, for its season premiere concert on October 14 at 7:30 pm in Kimball Recital Hall.

The UNL Symphonic Band will deliver its season premiere concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in Kimball Recital Hall. The group is conducted by Tony Falcone, senior lecturer in music, and Chris Barnes, graduate teaching assistant.

The program, “And Through Eternity, I’ll Sing On,” focuses on works based on or derived from hymns. Compositions by Alfred Reed, J.S. Bach, Fisher Tull, Pavel Tschesnokoff, Donald Grantham and Clifton Williams will be featured.

Tickets, available at the door, are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.
