UNL is open on Monday, Jan. 6, and all activities are being conducted as usual. Because Lincoln Public Schools has announced that there will be no school on Monday, Jan. 6, because of extremely cold weather, UNL had assessed likely weather and travel conditions for the day on Jan. 5.

Though the university is open during this period of adverse conditions, supervisors and department chairs may alter work schedules to make allowances for unique travel problems. This means employees must still account for their normal workday by working or taking vacation leave.
