Theatrix, the student-run theatre company within the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, will continue its 2014-2015 season with the play “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26, 27 and 28 and 2 p.m. March 1.
Brittanie Witter, an undergraduate theatre directing and management major, will direct the play. Tickets are $6 and are available online and one hour prior to performances on the third floor of the Temple building.
The play, which was originally created through improvisation, has three actors: Spenser Stokes, Thomas Boyle and Brenna Hill. Together, the three friends attempt to present all 37 of Shakespeare’s play to the audience in 97 minutes.
Witter said the play “takes something that we all know and puts a modernized spin on it.”
Dustin Mosko, Drew Conley and Andrea Besch designed the production. Desiree Bartels stage-manages.
The play contains adult language, but all audiences can enjoy it. Witter said there will be also be silly string involved.
