Swing Fever to play at inaugural Crib Session

Swing Fever performs at Jazz in June in 2015.

The University Program Council will bring live jazz to the Nebraska Union as part of the Crib Sessions live music series.

Local jazz band Swing Fever will perform in the free inaugural show, which will be noon Feb. 18 at The Crib next to Runza inside the Nebraska Union.

Swing Fever features Jerry Renaud on guitar and vocals, Eric Toombs on drums and percussion and Gene Davis on bass and vocals. Pance Zaev, a UNL student from Macedonia, also plays clarinet and saxophone for the band. Swing Fever uses its members’ different backgrounds of classical and Euro-influenced music to create a unique sound.

The event is sponsored by JazzTimeSmoothRadio.com and local attorney Jim Gordon.

The University Program Council is a student organization that provides diverse, educational and entertaining programs to enhance UNL.
