UNL policies and procedures on surplus property will go into effect Jan. 5. The changes come after input from campus and a review of options to make inventory services more cost effective.
The new policies include:
UNL departments will continue to have the first opportunity to select items from surplus inventory.
Surplus items will be we offered at competitive prices.
Items will only be tagged “Sold” and/or held for future pick-up when a departmental cost center is provided.
Selected items will be billed to the cost center specified for all purchased items. There will be a 48-hour return period, after which billings will be processed.
Inventory Services will continue to provide surplus items to UNL departments at substantial discounts compared to buying new.
