Staff art show to open Nov. 1

The ninth annual University of Nebraska-Lincoln Staff Art Show will open on Nov. 1 on the second floor of Love Library and feature art pieces created by UNL employees from various departments.

This year’s artists are Valerie Bender, student accounts, staff secretary; Jennifer Brown, accounting, accounting clerk; Peta-Gaye Clachar, chemistry, recruiting and communications coordinator; Marcia L. Dority Baker, UNL Law Library, associate professor; Jeanetta Drueke, UNL Libraries, professor; Duane Grosse, FM&P Building Systems Maintenance, zone preventive maintenance assistant, Lana Johnson agronomy and horticulture project manager; Jennifer Klein, Public Policy Center, communication and administrative support associate; Yvonne Lai, mathematics, assistant professor; Justin Lewis, food science and technology; communications Support Associate; Mary Masur, Instructional Design Center, graphic designer; Angela Mittan, Buros Center for Testing, marketing communications manager; Katie Nieland, Center for Great Plains Studies, assistant director and communications coordinator; Melissa L. R. Sinner, UNL Libraries, web content and design editor, libraries gallery manager; Kimberly Smith; College of Business, communications and marketing specialist; Natalie Smith, Sheldon Museum of Art, collections care specialist; Kim Tedrow, Biological Process Development Facility, data coordinator; and Brian Timblin, FM&P Building Systems Maintenance, senior technician, electrical.

A reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6, during Lincoln’s First Friday Art Walk. The Staff Art Show will run until Dec. 19 during Love Library hours.

Love Library is open Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to midnight; Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to midnight.
