Some UNL venues to be open during holiday closedown
There will be no classes and most offices will be closed during UNL’s annual holiday shutdown Dec. 24-Jan. 4. Several venues, however, will be open to the public at least some of the time during that period.
Following is a list of galleries, museums and other public venues and their opening and closing schedules Dec. 24-Jan. 4 or beyond. Venues are closed Dec. 24-Jan. 4 unless otherwised noted. UNL offices reopen Jan. 5 and spring semester classes begin Jan. 12.
Campus Recreation Center and East Fitness Center: Open Dec. 27-31 and Jan. 2-4. The Outdoor Adventures Center will be open Dec. 27-30 and Jan. 2-4. Go to http://crec.unl.edu for more information, including operating hours each day.
Sheldon Museum of Art: Open noon-4 p.m. Dec. 26-31 and Jan. 2-4. Go to http://www.sheldonartmuseum.org for additional information.

University of Nebraska State Museum and Mueller Planetarium (Morrill Hall): Closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1. Open regular hours Dec. 26-31 and Jan. 2 (9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday; 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursdays; 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sundays). Admissions: Closed, but applications will be accepted online at http://admissions.unl.edu/apply. Processing of applications received during the shutdown will begin Jan. 5.
