Dr. Scott Moye-Rowley studies the response of eukaryotic cells to drugs and environmental stress using yeast as a model organism. His laboratory also investigates these responses in pathogenic microbes such as Candida glabrata and Aspergillus fumigatus. His presentation will focus on the oxidant regulation of gene expression by the transcriptional regulatory protein Yap1 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
