Ross hosts live broadcast of Lehar’s ‘The Merry Widow’

Renee Fleming and Nathan Gunn star in the live broadcast of "The Merry Widow," showing Jan. 17-18 at UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center will host a live broadcast of Lehar’s “The Merry Widow” at 11:55 a.m. Jan. 17. An encore performance is at 1 p.m., Jan. 18. The performance is part of “The Met: Live in HD” series of live broadcasts from New York City’s Metropolitan Opera House.

Nathan Gunn co-stars as Danilo and Kelli O’Hara is Valencienne. Andrew Davis conducts. Approximate running time 3 hours

Tickets are $24 general admission, $22 senior citizens, $17 for Friends of the Ross, $16 students and children, $6 Nebraska Wesleyan students (with a valid student ID), and $5 for UNL students (with a valid NCard).
