Kris Mangrum, a senior fine arts major from Stafford, Va., builds a handheld camera mount from skateboard parts in a Richards Hall shop on June 3. Mangrum hopes to use the camera mount to record videos while riding a skateboard. The project is part of a special topics art course exploring an in-depth study of the human figure. The three-week summer course, led by Santiago Cal, associate professor of art, features lectures and study sessions in the morning and time to work on class projects in the afternoon.
