At the request of the NU Board of Regents, the University of Nebraska Foundation purchased a home at 2810 S. 27th St. in Lincoln in December 2013. The residence was intended to be renovated and then serve as the official home of the university president.

It has been determined that a different residence would better meet the future needs of the university, and the chairman of the Board of Regents, on behalf of the executive committee, has directed the NU Foundation to sell the current residence.

The residence will be listed in January 2015 and the foundation will continue to work with the Board of Regents on housing arrangements for the university president.
