Mueller Planetarium to host Fulldome Festival May 28

Mueller Planetarium at Morrill Hall, south of 14th and Vine streets, will host the Fulldome Festival May 28.

Mueller Planetarium at Morrill Hall, south of 14th and Vine streets, will host a special day of five different fulldome shows May 28.

Visitors can preview two new shows to the planetarium: “Cosmic Adventure,” which takes viewers on a roller coaster ride from the moon through the solar system; and “From Earth to the Universe,” a voyage through sparkling sights and sounds revealing the universe through science.

The Fulldome Festival will also be the last time visitors can see “Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure.”

May 28 showtimes are:

  • 11 a.m.: “Sesame Street: One World, One Sky”

  • Noon: “Cosmic Adventure”

  • 1 p.m.: “Supervolcanoes”

  • 2 p.m.: “Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure”

  • 3 p.m.: “From Earth to the Universe”

Regular planetarium prices are $4 per show for an adult and $3 per show for a child, plus museum admission. Museum members pay $2.50 per show for an adult and $2 per show for a child, with ID card. Tickets will be sold at the front desk the day of the festival. Children ages 3 and under are not permitted in the planetarium.
