Microsoft issues Active Directory fix for shared calendars

Microsoft has issued a temporary fix for an issue impacting shared calendars via Outlook 2013 for Windows. The fix will restore access to shared calendars with owner/editor permissions that are currently inaccessible via the Windows Outlook client. This issue was reported via an UNLTECHINFO email on Aug. 26. A permanent solution is being developed by Microsoft. This policy will be applied 9 p.m. on Sept. 3.

For Active Directory-joined Computers: ITS will be applying a group policy to all Active Directory accounts. This policy changes a registry key for Outlook 2013 client which changes the behavior of auto-discovery. A fix is available via the Computer Help Center for individual computers not joined to Active Directory.
