John Bob Kelty
A retirement reception for John (Bob) Kelty, electronic shop manager for physics and astronomy is 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 at Jorgensen Hall, Room 149.
In Kelty’s 36 years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he taught electrical and electronics circuits to physics undergraduates. Kelty also conducted research in polar ice sampling probes and developed an ice sampling melting probe for an Arctic and Antarctic ice sheet study. More recently, Kelty played a role in commissioning the wire bonding for the module fabrication used in pixel upgrades for the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment.
The reception is free and open to the campus community and public.
