Guest artist Jeffery Jones, baritone, from Coastal Carolina University, will join University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music tenor Kevin Hanrahan and pianist Denis Plutalov in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in Kimball Recital Hall.

The recital will explore the songs of two composers, Charles Ives from the United States and Percy Grainger from Australia. In addition to the exploration of finding their voices, Hanrahan has commissioned a new work from New Zealand/Australian composer Diana Blom entitled “The Ballad of the Canterbury Pilgrims” for soprano, tenor, baritone and piano. Jones, Hanrahan and Plutalov will be joined by Jamie Reimer for this world premiere.
