Guatemala ASB provides information sessions Dec. 9-11

Guatemala ASB will be working with Constru Casa to build basic housing for families living in extreme poverty. The groups are looking to recruit people who want to help with international service.

Constru Casa works with local social organizations to identify families in need. Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside a family and engage in a homestay experience.

The experience will also include a number of excursions to historic sites in Guatemala and allow students to experience the Guatemalan culture along with serving and learning.

The dates will be May 10-17 and will cost approximately $1,700-1,900, which includes transportation, lodging and food.

Informational meetings:

  • 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Nebraska Union, Room 222

  • 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Nebraska Union, Room 222
