Free screening of ‘Farmland’ shows Jan. 20

David Loberg

UNL Collegiate Farm Bureau Club and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is offering a screening of the documentary “Farmland” at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 at Hardin Hall auditorium, Room 107.

David Loberg, a fifth generation Nebraskan corn and soybean farmer, is one of the six subjects of the film that takes an intimate look at the lives of farmers and ranchers in their ‘20s, all of whom are now responsible for running their farming business.

Farmland’s award-winning director, James Moll, will take you inside the world of farming for a first-hand glimpse into the lives of young farmers and ranchers, their high-risk, high-reward jobs, and their passion for a way of life that has been passed down from generation to generation, yet continues to evolve.

The event is free and open to the public.
