A free health screening opportunity rolls onto campus on Nov. 7.
Campus Recreation’s Wellness Services is offering a “Wellness on Wheels” program that includes free screenings for blood pressure, waist circumference, height, weight, body mass index, shoulder mobility, flexibility, lower body, strength, stress management, financial wellness and nutrition knowledge. The event is 8 to 10 a.m. in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room.
Blood profiles will also be available. The profiles will check levels of hemoglobin, glucose and cholesterol. Participants must bring a copy of their insurance card or $25 to complete the blood profile. Also, blood profile participants must fast for 10 hours prior to completing the test.
The tests are open to students, faculty, staff and immediate family members.
Individuals who visit all assessments and turn in a completed form will receive a free pedometer.
Registration for the event is available at http://go.unl.edu/urru. Registration is recommended but not required.
Wellness on Wheels is organized by Campus Recreation-Wellness Services, University Health Center, Employee Assistance Program, and University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union.
