Eccarius, Honaker, Splattstoesser farewell reception is July 15

The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders will host a farewell reception for Malinda Eccarius, Julie Honaker and Deanne Splattstoesser July 15.

The reception is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. at the Barkley Memorial Center, Room 130. A short program will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Eccarius has worked at Nebraska for 21 years, and currently serves as an associate professor of practice as well as the coordinator for the deaf education program. Honaker is finishing her seventh year at Nebraska, serving as an associate professor and the director of the Dizziness and Balance Disorder Lab in the Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior. Splattstoesser has been a lecturer and clinical supervisor for the speech-language pathology program for 17 years.

The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
