Convocations Committee offers funding for guest speakers

Applications to the Convocations Committee for funding guest speakers during the fall 2014 semester are due April 1.

Convocations Committee grants generally range from $150 to $750. Money is limited and the process is competitive. The committee suggests that applicants carefully consult with their colleagues to determine whether or not they are in competition within their own department.

The Convocations Committee will favor applications that benefit as wide an audience as possible and preference is given to programming that is open to the public and where the charge for admission is modest or non-existent.
