The University Program Council will present “Comedy Spotlight with Gina Yashere” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in the Nebraska Union Crib. The event is free and open to the public.

Yashere is a highly sought-after British comedian who has sold out many theaters across the United Kingdom and appeared on many hit television shows in the United States. Her TV appearances include “The Jay Leno Show,” “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Chelsea Lately,” “Def Comedy Jam” and her own comedy special, “Skinny B*tch” on Showtime.

Her legendary stand-up performances are fueled by her infectious personality and bombastic delivery, and have led her to win Best Female Comedian at the Black Entertainment and Comedy Awards four years in a row.
