Editor’s Note — This performance has been postponed due to inclement weather. An announcement about rescheduling will be released later this week.

The Chiara String Quartet will perform the third recital in the Hixson-Lied Concert Series at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 in Kimball Recital Hall.

The program will include Mozart’s String Quartet in F Major, K 168; Barrosso’s “Engrama;” and Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115 with Diane Barger, professor of clarinet.

The final performance of the season’s concert series is March 20.

The members of the Chiara String Quartet are the Hixson-Lied Artists-in-Residence at the Glenn Korff School of Music.

Now in their 14th season performing together, the quartet (Rebecca Fischer and Hyeyung Julie Yoon, violins; Jonah Sirota, viola; Gregory Beaver, cello) is renowned for bringing fresh excitement to traditional string quartet repertoire as well as for creating insightful interpretations of new music.

Tickets, available at the door or by calling 402-472-4747, are $20 general admission, $10 for senior citizens and $5 for students.
