In a fateful bumper car collision, Jake and Ella meet and become the most loving couple in the long history of romance. But when a scheming “other” woman drives a wedge of jealousy into their perfect courtship, insecurity and hatred spell out an untimely fate. With only the help of a disgraced magician and his forbidden “Soul Machine,” Ella takes the forms of Jake’s numerous lovers, desperately fighting through malfunction and deceit as they try to reclaim their destiny.
“The Diary of a Teenage Girl” is a frank, coming-of-age story that addresses themes without judgment.
Like most teenage girls, Minnie Goetze is longing for love, acceptance and a sense of purpose in the world. Minnie begins a complex love affair with her mother’s boyfriend. What follows is a sharp, funny and provocative account of one girl’s sexual and artistic awakening without judgment.
