CCSW seeks new members

Applications are being accepted for membership on the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women.

Vacancies include one spot each for students and faculty, and four for staff members. Student members serve two-year terms, while faculty and staff members serve three-year terms.

The purpose of the commission is to enhance the status of women at UNL, by advising the chancellor on issues pertaining to gender equity and on specific concerns of women faculty, staff and students at UNL.

The commission strives to have a diverse membership that represents the population of women at UNL in terms of ethnicity and national origin, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, disability and other characteristics.

Review of applications begins Oct. 3. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
