“The Cat in the Hat” will be performed by Childsplay, a nationally recognized theater company for young audiences. Childsplay is one of only a handful of companies in the United States to perform the adaptation of the popular children’s book, making this high-energy and hilarious show a must-see for Nebraska families.
From the moment he arrives at their doorstep, Sally and her brother know that the Cat in the Hat is the most mischievous cat they will ever meet. Suddenly a rainy afternoon is transformed by the Cat and his antics. Can the kids clean up before mom comes home?
“You can boil everything down to fun, simple and clear,” said director David Barker. “The Cat wants to have fun, and so do we. The show feels just as youthful and exhilarating as reading a Dr. Seuss book.”
The performance is recommended for ages 3 and older.
