The Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design’s Biennial Student Runway Show, “Fusion Fashion,” is 8 p.m. April 25 in the Centennial Ballroom of the Nebraska Union, 14th and R streets.

Students from six UNL departments will again join creative forces to bring the campus and Lincoln a dazzling and unforgettable evening of style and creativity.

In addition to textiles, clothing and design majors, contributing students will be from the Department of Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management, and the catering program in the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences in the College of Eduation and Human Sciences; and the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, the Glenn Korff School of Music, and the Department of Art and Art History in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.

Seating is limited and is available only by advance ticket sales through the UNL Marketplace at http://go.unl.edu/w83w.

This year’s guest awards judges are native Nebraskans and textiles, merchandising and fashion design alumnae Amanda Valentine and JLynn Hausmann. Valentine appeared as a design contestant on “Project Runway” in its Season 11 series. She operates Valentine, Valentine, a design and stylist consultancy in Nashville, Tenn. Hausmann is the principal behind JHaus Brand, a fashion denim company based in Los Angeles. In addition to selecting the Mary Mitchell Fashion Excellence Award winners the night of the show, the judges will each present a representative collection of recent creations from their respective lines.
