April 20 concert showcases brass ensembles

The large brass ensembles within UNL’s Glenn Korff School of Music will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. April 20 in the Westbrook Hall.

The recital will feature works by well-known composers, such as Richard Wagner and Stephen Foster. It will also include pieces by UNL composers Anthony Burnham and Daniel Baldwin. There will even be movie music from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Titanic.”

This concert showcases three of the Glenn Korff School of Music brass ensembles: The Husker Horn Choir, directed by Alan Mattingly; the Nebraska Trombone Ensemble, directed by Scott Anderson; and the UNL Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, directed by professor Craig Fuller. This concert is free and open to the public.
