Workshops for hosts of international scholars, employees begin Feb. 19

The International Student and Scholar Office will offer upcoming workshops for faculty and staff who host and support international scholars and employees. All workshops are free but require registration.

The first workshop, taking place 8:30 to 10 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Nebraska Union (Regency A), will walk faculty and staff through the process of hiring international employees who fall under the H-1B immigration status. A Zoom link will be available for those unable to attend in person. To register for the workshop, click here.

On March 18, the office will host a workshop for faculty and staff looking to host exchange visitors. The workshop, 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Nebraska Union (Unity Room 212), will cover the process of inviting a visitor and the requirements for hosts. To register, click here.

An April 8 workshop, 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Nebraska Union (Regency A), will focus on sponsoring an international employee for permanent residency in the United States. To register, click here.
