Elite athletes — from Huskers here in Lincoln to the Olympians competing in Tokyo — need to be mentally tough when it comes to competing in front of fans and against other athletes.
In this video, Brett Haskell, director of sports psychology, and Mariah Bullock, athletic psychologist, both with Nebraska Athletics, discuss how athletes aren’t exempt from pressures that trigger mental health issues. They also highlight the many supports Nebraska student-athletes receive to enhance personal well-being.
