The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Benefits Office is offering weekly, virtual benefits orientation starting Jan. 11.
The sessions are 2 to 3 p.m. every Thursday. Additional information and details on how to access via Zoom are available on the Benefits Office website.
Benefits presentations have traditionally been offered during the university’s monthly New Employee Orientation sessions. The new weekly format will allow the Benefits Office to deliver orientation content to new employees in a timelier manner as well as include other employees, such as those who are newly benefits-eligible.
Departments and businesses centers that assist with onboarding new employees are encouraged to refer new employees to attend a benefits orientation, reiterate the 31-day enrollment window, and encourage new employees to contact the Benefits Office at benefits@unl.edu for questions and support.
A shortened “Maximizing your Benefits” session will still be presented during all New Employee Orientation sessions, allowing the UNL Benefits team to maintain contact with new employees.
