The Center for Civic Engagement and Food Bank of Lincoln are seeking student, faculty, or staff volunteer teams for Lincoln CAN, a month-long event which collects food and fund donations for those in need.

Offices, student organizations, sports teams, or residence halls are encouraged to gather individuals to participate. After registering on the food bank website and collecting food or funds throughout the month, participants will bring their donations to an event taking place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Gateway Mall, 6100 O St.

At the event, teams will have food donations weighed, cash or check donations collected, and meet with other civic-minded members of the Lincoln community.
