Volunteers are needed at all home Husker football games to hand out green bags for recyclables and help tailgaters be environmentally responsible.

The Go Green for Big Red program, now in its 10th year, relies on Husker students and the community to encourage recycling on game days.

“UNL is a recycling-friendly campus,” said Prabhakar Shrestha, sustainability coordinator at Nebraska. “Cornhusker fans have always been good stewards of our natural resources. This effort allows us to extend our environmental practice on home football game days.”

Volunteers meet two hours before the game and finish an hour before kickoff.
